'Joëlle' is a Yachting World 5 Tonner, built in 1947 at Philips Yard, Dartmouth. She was berthed at Poole YC for 22 years and previously at RNLI Depot, Poole. Owned by the same family for 52 years, four generations have sailed in her.
Maintained, re-rigged, re-engined, re-covered decks with Trakmark and converted from Bermudan sloop to cutter. She is in first class condition and was originally offered for sale at the end of the 1917 season. Four persons responded, with one spending several hours looking over the boat at her berth. Several days later 'Joëlle' was laid up for the winter. No further realistic enquiries, so a major maintenance plan was set up, to achieve a first class ‘old’ yacht for the 2018 season: Hull and topsides, brightwork, mast and rigging, anchor and chain rode, together with electronics and interior paintwork have been tackled. All as listed in a full inventory listed below.
