1400 or so boats of all different shapes and sizes gather every two years to sail around the Golfe du Morbihan, Brittany in nine different fleets.
The local population makes a tremendous effort decorating the ports and putting on entertainment and food each evening. Should be on the bucket list of all sailors simply for the Tuesday picnic where all the boats involved gather on a beach on the Ile d’Arz for a picnic, as illustrated here. And it’s free-ish. You only pay a little for food and camping. The sailing is splendid, but beware, the tides in the Golfe can be 'interesting'.
If you are planning to trail your boat across, let Keith Mosley know and we will arrange some sort of 'event' on the campsite.
Visit the organisers' website for registration forms and full details.
