Most years the President’s race is part of the East Coast Cruise, and held on the last day. This year, with the regatta at the end of the cruise, and the East Coast race at the start there was no place in the programme for the race.
The East Coast OGA would not be the same without the President’s Race, so it was decided to hold it as part of the Pin Mill Regatta on 29 September, 2018. The sailing club always have an open gaffers race as part of their regatta, racing for the Blagden Cup, and this year a second trophy, the President's cup, is also on offer, to members of the OGA only.
Registration for the race will be on the Friday evening, at Pin Mill Sailing Club, so everyone who intends to race should be present then. The race will start from the Club line on Saturday 29 September at 1100.
