The tall ship ‘Williams II’ left Blyth on 19 March, 2019 to start her round Britain trip. Changing crews at Grimsby, Lowestoft, Chatham, Weymouth, Milford Haven, Holyhead, Douglas, Ayr, Oban and Ullapool. After stops at Scrabster, Wick and Peterhead, she arrived back in Blyth on 22 May. There was an official 'welcome home' on 1 June, 2019.

Despite the windy May Bank Holiday, East Coast gaffers enjoyed the first sailing event of the season at Tollesbury.
