The Reeuwijk Raid 4 - 6 October 2019

There is space for parking, a crane to launch the boats, a cosy clubhouse and also an area for a tent or campervan. We hope that the event can bring together more boats with crews, from all countries. The programme is as follows:

Friday October 4th
Boats can be launched already but crews must provide their food themselves. Camping on boats, car or tents ashore or in one of the cabin boats at JRH (to be reserved).

Saturday October 5th
Boats on a trailer can be launched by crane or with own means. Cars and trailers must be placed on the nearby parking. The boats must be ready for sail before 11am.
At 11am: Palaver at the clubhouse with coffee, after which the race starts (self-catering for lunch). We sail over several lakes of Reeuwijk so at least 2 bridges must be negotiated, preferably without engine. After the finish there is a drink in the clubhouse and the award ceremony. A meal will be provided for all crew members (reserve and pay before 11am). After that we will make music as usual. (Bring your instrument!). Crews can sleep in their own boat, in one of the boats at JRH, or in the car/ tent.

Sunday October 6th
Coffee at 9 am (self-catering for breakfast and lunch), followed by a sculling contest. Then we will sail in company around the “Reeuwijkse plassen”, we will pass the various bridges together. Not later than 3pm we will be back at Elfhoeven and put the boats on the trailers.

Apart from coffee and drinks, as well as the meal on Saturday night you will have to pay a small amount, the rest of the event, including launching, is free.
