As the weather improves, the prospect of getting back on the water is every sailor's only thought. With 22 miles of waterway to explore, and an exciting programme of events, why not take a look at the Seafair Haven website and see if a visit fits in with your sailing season?
To start off, there's a terrific weekend's entertainment onshore, so you can pick up on old friendships and make new friends in a convivial atmosphere. You could get straight onto the water on Saturday by joining the Lawrenny Yacht Club regatta at around noon. Alternatively, you could just see it off from Lawrenny Point, then adjourn to the Lawrenny Arms pub to register and browse around the RNLI fete. Later that afternoon, things move up a notch or two with the start of the Lawrenny Arms annual ciderfest, with entertainment by the legendary Twurzels.
On Sunday, the festive crew at Hazelbeach are staging their annual regatta, complete with raft racing, Welsh dancing and lots of fun. Back by popular demand, sail and oar have escorted cruises to explore the upper reaches of the Milford Haven Waterway, plus the popular BBQ and fun at Cresswell Quay.
The Bosun's Lunch will be served in the grounds of Landshipping's Big House which is currently undergoing a major restoration and has starred in BBC2’s Restoration Home with Caroline Quinten. It's an amazing location in the curve of the beautiful Eastern Cleddau.
