The Saturday weather was glorious, with an easterly force 3. Perfect conditions for the 23 small boats vying for the many prizes.
There was very little water at the Wade, but everyone got over.
The Walton and Frinton YC laid on a barbecue for the OGA and the club members, which went down very well while sitting in the bright warm sunshine waiting for the prize giving. This was held in the upper bar, and amusement was provided by the award of a brand new “Lucky Bastard” trophy to George Hutley, who was prevented from sailing by a broken ankle, how he broke it caused much amusement.. It did mean he was available to time the boats home.

The plan for Sunday had us heading to Kirby Creek for a picnic, but in the event wind direction and a force 4 dictated a trip to Stone Point instead.
Once back at the Walton and Frinton Yacht Club it was time to pack up the boats and set off home after another lovely weekend sailing. Many thanks to everyone for making this such a great annual event.
