First created in 1939, this race was stopped during World War II and ran again from 1947 to 1981. It was revived two years ago and will run again from Plymouth in 2014 from  29 July to 8 August.

We've received details of this event, run by the British Classic Yacht Club and Royal Dart YC. It promises to be a good weekend, for anyone in sailing distance of Dartmouth 20 - 22 June, 2014. This News item contains the Notice of Race and further details.

We've received information from Phil Robertson about this year's Tarbert Traditional Boat Festival with a special additional attraction in the form of a Viking theme with the Loch Fyne Viking Festival. All traditional boats are welcome from 25 June until the weekend.

Following on from last year's involvement with National Historic Ships UK, the OGA is sponsoring Category D 'Faces of the Sea' in the NHS-UK competition which opened on 1 April and closes on 31 August 2014. Look out for NHS-UK 'spot prizes' throughout the year.
