The organising committee is looking forward to welcoming Solent Gaffers to the regatta and racing with them. This traditional riverside carnival takes place at the historic Elephant Boatyard on the River Hamble. On Saturday afternoon there is family fun. The day ends with a fantastic torchlight procession.
This year's theme is ' AUSTRALIA Down-Under '. We are encouraged to dress ourselves and our boats in suitable theme. A Solent Gaffers' trophy will be awarded to the best dressed boat and crew.
Boats usually gather on the Friday for social partying. You are invited to join in the Friday evening regatta event, but you should contact the Regatta committee to book a table. On Saturday its a day of small dinghy and rowing boat racing in the Bursledon River in front of the Jolly Sailor pub, and to end there is always a fantastic firework display.
