Come and join your fellow gaffers, for an early season gathering over the May Bank Holiday weekend, whether your boat is afloat or not.
Chichester Harbour is perfect for :
An early shakedown sail, trailer sailors ( launching and B & B nearby ) or driving to for a meal/walk.
Chichester Harbour is one of the largest natural harbours on the South Coast, with a vivid history stretching way back before Roman times. Covering 28 sq.miles, there are numerous creeks to explore and anchorages to enjoy.
The plan shown below is flexible and will depend on both the weather and the wishes of participants, with the aim of allowing you to make the most of your time in harbour.
Friday 3rd May - No fixed programme but arriving crews will be welcome to join an informal supper at CYC from 1830.
Final programme for following days to be discussed at Friday's supper at CYC.
Saturday 4th May - 10.00 Sail in company to explore the harbour with a lunch stop at East Head.
Alternatively a walk alongside the Harbour with lunch at a nearby pub
18.30 Muster for Rally supper at CYC ( two courses and coffee for £20 )
Sunday 5th May - 10.00 Fun race around a course in the Harbour finishing at East head beach for lunch. Land based people are welcome to join the beach party.
PM return to Chichester Marina or maybe depart for home.
Free-form evening meal at either CYC or a local pub or restaurant.
Monday 6th May - boats depart at leisure - no formal ptogramme.
