The OGA will be exhibiting at the Southampton Boat show, courtesy of a grand effort by OGA supporter John Goode. Max Liberson is allowing us to use “Wendy May” as a floating stand for the entire event and the OGA dinghy will also be on display.
We need volunteers to do shifts from 10am to 2pm and/or from 2pm to 5pm. Ideally we will have a couple of people at all times. Volunteers will be given a free pass to the Show.
If you would like to volunteer, please get in touch with Tony Kiddle (treasurer [at] oga [dot] org [dot] uk) or Jeremy Retford (solsec [at] oga [dot] org [dot] uk (subject: Southampton%20Boat%20Show) ), with an idea as what days you could help.
NOTICE FOR VOLUNTEERS from John Goode
Visit the Boat Show website page for details about the Owners' Associations Area.
Download the Marina Layout and more detailed Berthing Plan below, annotated in red for clarity. These show where the temporary entrance to the inner berths will be before it’s closed off for the duration of the Show.
I will be on site from the evening of Wednesday 11 September ready to meet your boats arriving during Thursday 12 September. There is no fixed time required, or tidal restrictions effecting arrival, but during daylight hours would obviously be best. I will be contactable at all times on my mobile if you can’t see me on the pontoons when you arrive.
I’ve also organised speakers for the Foredeck Stage, a rogues gallery of good mates of mine who will wholeheartedly promote the Owners Associations Area.
