The OGA has eight trophies awarded annually to members from any Area. Nominations are accepted from any OGA Member. Read on for a full list of trophies and think about who deserves a trophy for 2018.

The 2018 OGA Photo Competition is open for entries. There's been some great weather for photography this season, so remember to submit those best photos.

Crossfields of Arnside are one of most significant builders on the OGA Boat Register. Their boats may still be found sailing around the UK coasts as well as North America and the Mediterranean.
Marion Shirley sailed straight down to Falmouth after the 60th Birthday party event at Yarmouth to join in the send off to those taking part in this year's Golden Globe Race.
The OGA Editor frequently receives book reviews for titles which may be of interest to Members. We will be publishing the most recent ones here - so why not send a review of your favourite read to the Editor?

'Sailing by' continues to carry stories linked with OGA Cruises in Company. It carries updates from OGA fleets cruising in SW England, France, the Netherlands and Scotland along with associated 'tales of sail' including archive video, photos and related nautical writings.

Cross the North Sea by Stena ferry but then cabins booking NOW for 2 nights on a sailing ship Stortemelk (in dock) at the Traditional Boat Show in Den Helder.

Brian Hammett, old friend, staunch supporter and stalwart of the OGA at both national and local level crossed the bar on Thursday 20 September, 2018. His funeral took place in Ipswich on 10th October and his widow Lorna delivered a moving eulogy entitled "Life of Brian"
