Brixham trawlers have raced in Torbay since the early 1800s but with the wars racing ceased. A revival in 1997 of the Brixham Heritage Regatta has resulted in the icreasing popularity of this event which is always held early in the season. Following this success a Heritage Rally was launched late in the season and this has also gathered momentum to become a popular flourish to end the formal events for the year. Free berthing is offered.
