OGA Member, Kevin Gorringe, is undertaking some research to evaluate the current problem of keel failure in monohull yachts, concentrating on fixed, drop and canter design. He is working with the Marine Learning Alliance, IMarEST and Plymouth University. Can you help him by completing the survey?

The UK Hydrographic Office has announced proposals to withdraw supply and maintenance of Small Craft Folios. Respond to the consultation online by 8 October 2019.

The tall ship ‘Williams II’ left Blyth on 19 March, 2019 to start her round Britain trip. Changing crews at Grimsby, Lowestoft, Chatham, Weymouth, Milford Haven, Holyhead, Douglas, Ayr,  Oban and Ullapool. After stops at Scrabster, Wick and Peterhead, she arrived back in Blyth on 22 May. There was an official 'welcome home' on 1 June, 2019.
