Applications for grants from the OGA Youth Fund should be made by the Area of the OGA concerned to youthfund [at] oga [dot] org [dot] uk (Patrick Vyvyan-Robinson), the Youth Fund co-ordinator on the GMC, using the Application for Youth Fund Grant form.
Contact details for Area Secretaries may be found in the Areas section.
In order to qualify for a grant, events must be run in accordance with the principles of the OGA’s Safeguarding Children Policy and comply with the OGA’s Youth Events Guidelines.
Areas will ensure that grant recipients write a report on the event with photographs. The report should include details of what was achieved in the way of benefits to the individual participants and to the OGA as an organisation.
Grants of up to £500 can be awarded for worthwhile projects that bring young people and gaff rig boats together. Areas are expected to raise funds locally, wherever possible, to match the grant requested from the Youth Fund.
If you have a Youth Project for consideration, please download and read the Criteria and then complete the Application form and send it to your Area Secretary - if you have any queries about the process email youthfund [at] oga [dot] org [dot] uk.
Awards are made by the General Management Committee which meets three times a year in February, May and October.
